Technology Description
Direct combustion of wood in an enclosed metal box which can be opened at the front for loading, for which exhaust fumes go in a chimney (as opposed to open-fires, whose efficiency is much lower).
Relevance for Net Zero
Wood burning stoves are replaced by more efficient biomass boilers and furnaces.
