Polymer LED
9
Technology Description
Polymer light-emitting diode (PLED) is a type of OLED, using large molecules (polymers) typically deposited using a solution-based method (e.g. inkjet printing or screen printing) which is cheaper than high-vacuum evaporation used for small-molecular OLEDs, but comes at the expense of lifetime and efficiency.
Relevance for Net Zero
High efficiency and long lifetime compared to alternative lighting.
